The purpose of this Sustainability Scoping Report is to support the ongoing review of options for, and the preparation of proposals relating to, the Mersey Tidal Power project. It relates to planning policy requirements for sustainability appraisal of strategic projects and also to legal requirements for strategic environmental assessment of plans. It is designed to assist the project to evolve in line with policy and legal requirements.
